Hope everyone is having a good and entertaining Saturday night! Some might be entertaining themselves with Halo 5: Guardians. The good news is that the free Ghosts of Meridian content will soon arrive on Xbox One next week for Halo 5: Guardians. If you would like to get a peak at the content before the release, 343 Industries will be showing off all of the new Ghosts of Meridian content live on Tuesday, April 5 from 3 PM to 5 PM, Pacific Standard Time at twitch.tv/halo as well as on the Halo Channel.
According to Xbox Wire, the content includes the following:
- New Warzone map – Skirmish at Darkstar. Though Liang-Dortmund’s local headquarters at Meridian Station was devastated, the remote polar outpost of Darkstar Station survived. But anomalies abound beneath the battered surface as ancient machinery buried deep in the planet’s mantle stir to life, including an all-new boss.
- New Arena map – Tyrant. The facility known as Site C by human explorers is one of a handful of intact Forerunner structures remaining in the Zeta Hydronis Secundus system, a grim reminder that even godlike artifice can be undone by the minds and hands of mad tyrants. The small-scale symmetrical map is built for Capture the Flag and Assault game modes.
- New REQs items. A slew of brand new REQs are arriving with Ghosts of Meridian, including Tartarus’ Gavel, a Legendary gravity hammer that unleashes kinetic explosions with each swing, and boosts movement speed, shield strength, and jump height.
The new warzone map Skirmish at Darkstar looks incredibly fun with a lot of areas to check out and learn. I like the layout of the map because it is so diverse. I can imagine all of the great battles that will soon begin and all of the advantage points that will have to be learned.
Tyrant, the new arena map, also looks to be a fun map offering Capture the Flag and Assault game modes. The environment is very massive and detailed offering a eerie feeling. Those willing to go in for the enemy flag should have a hard time coming out with it!
With the awesome screenshots and details released, I for one am looking forward to getting my hands on the Ghosts of Meridian content! Plus, who does not like free content?
